The museum occupies an area of 2 hectares of land, situated in the village Tegalrejo, Tegalrejo District, Yogyakarta. Building core of the monument to the shape of a traditional Javanese berarstiektur joglo consist of buildings and pringgitan pendapa. The building was last renovated in 1987.
Prince Diponegoro Monument Museum has a collection of 100 pieces consisting of various types of traditional weapons such as kris, spears, swords, arrows, and rifles. Who's superior collection of building walls with holes (perforated) which according to history is dijebol building by Prince Diponegoro in order to escape the siege of the Company.
In addition there are some special collections that are treated, namely the collection represents the heritage lane II, dating from 1752. Collections are intangible ketipung (small drum) and wilahan binang penempung made of wood and bronze-red and yellow.
Monumental Prince Diponegoro Museum is open daily Monday to Saturday at 08.0-13.00 pm
